Is it possible to pass out from taking lsd?

acid? and how much would you have to take?
Answer:
LSD is not a narcotic, so it doesn't make you pass out. If anything, it makes you more wide awake than you've ever been in your life.

However, given your physical conditions while your tripping, you might faint (from heat exhaustion) or something along those lines not directly related to the drug. But generally no, LSD does not "take" your counciousness, it gives you more.

As to the misinformed above me there, you can not die from taking LSD. LD-50 (the number of doses it takes to kill 50% of animals in a lab test) for LSD is thousands and thousands of times the "active" or "normal" dose to reach toxicity.

Nobody has ever died from LSD toxicity. People have taken 10,000 normal doses and not died. By contrast, If you took 100 asprin, you would die. So LSD is relatively safe--the government lies to you.

A dose of LSD in the 60's was about 250 millionths of a gram (which is kind of too much, so, very heavy). Currently, doses are in the range of 100 millionths of a gram (lighter and easier to control-but still fun)--which is largely why you never hear about people freaking out or trying to stop trains or fly anymore.

Some of the most brilliant people you have ever heard of have done LSD and, using the insights gained while experiencing it, have changed the world. Steve Jobs of Apple Computer, Bill Gates, the richest man in the world, the Beatles, Aldus Huxley, author of "A Brave New World", Henry Luce, founder of TIME magazine, Cary Grant, the late actor, Stanley Krubrick, the great filmmaker among many others have all tried LSD and changed the world with their art and technology.

That said, kids shouldn't do drugs until their brains have finished developing--around the age of 21. Prior to that, you might be too imature to "handle" the magic--and may just end up giggling and hurting yourself or others.

"Just say no" until you're old enough to handle it.

And please, don't help the prohibitionists spread lies. LSD is relatively harmless and one of the most important discoveries of the 20th century. I would be willing to bet you that 90% of people who have taken LSD would tell you it was the most important thing they've ever done in there life.

It's magic.

To those of you thinking of trying it--or lying to your children about it, why don't you get some good, politics free info from the site I've listed below.

Cheers!
