IL-6 levels are increased 100-fold during/after exercise, what is IL-6? and how it affects appetite?

Answer:
il-6 is interleukin-6. it is a chemical your body secretes to help it deal with muscle trauma and inflammation, thus helping it heal itself and reduce inflammation. there is some evidence that it may suppress appetite by acting on the central nervous system, however this is still relatively experimental.
