I believe I need it but don't want to go to the doctor just for a prescription. Is it legal to buy in the US without one or foreign countries. Thanks.

The previous responders are correct. A schedule II drug can only be legally obtained by a written prescription. A doctor cannot just call it into the pharmacy or OK a refil. Electronic transmission has only partly been approved by some state pharmacy boards.
You probably could find a source, but the possession would be illegal, a federal crime, and more expensive.
See you doctor. It's cheaper in the long run.
