Is cocaine used as an ingredient in any medicinal drugs?

Some junkies steal medicines because of what they contain, how do they know which ones will have the desired affect?
Answer:
All of the answers that say cocaine can be used in facial/nasal surgeries are correct! Topical cocaine is still used regularly to constrict the sensitive blood vessels inside noses during certain nasal operations to decrease bleeding. There is also a topical mixture called TEC for short which is tetracaine, epinepherine, and cocaine that is used on people's skin in some emergency rooms to numb up an area for stitches. This is used often in children so you don't have to hurt them by giving them a shot of lidocaine to numb up their skin.

All of the answers about the other -caines are true - they are all "cousins" of each other when chemically derived.

Hope this helps!
